Virtual Lobbying

Just because we can't meet government in person doesn't mean advocacy stops. Last week, Board and staff took over 40 virtual meetings with MPs, Senators and Ministers to lobby for solutions to the impending MLT shortages.

Many of these decision-makers agreed that the pandemic has highlighted the value of the medical lab to health care and that the federal government could play a role in the profession's sustainability.

Indigenous Land Acknowledgement : We respectfully acknowledge the CSMLS office, located in Hamilton, Ontario, is situated upon the traditional territories of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Mississauga Nation, Anishinaabe Peoples, and the Neutral Peoples.
