Members of Parliament Tour Local Labs

October 23, 2014

CSMLS has committed to increase awareness and advocacy for medical laboratory professionals by continuing to arrange tours for Members of Parliament (MPs) in their local riding laboratories. These tours give the MPs an in-depth look at the important work done in the lab.

On September 11, 2014, North York General welcomed Joe Daniel, MP Don Valley, to its laboratory along with CSMLS CEO, Christine Nielsen.

The laboratory staff at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital welcomed their MP Dean Allison, Niagara West-Glanbrook, on September 26. Christine Nielsen and Michael Grant, Director of Marketing and Communications at CSMLS were on-hand for the tour.

These tours continue to be a vital part of CSMLS’s advocacy campaign to bring awareness and understanding of the laboratory profession directly to our federal decision-makers.
