A member who is certified by CSMLS and is working, or actively looking for work, in the field of medical laboratory science.
This is an annual membership that will expire on December 31st of each year. Membership fees are non-refundable.
Professional Liability Insurance (PLI) is mandatory for employment in most provinces. Check your provincial regulations for requirements.

Medical Laboratory Technologist: Non-Practicing
A member who is certified by CSMLS but is taking an extended sabbatical from working in the field of medical laboratory science.

A member who is certified as an MLA by either the CSMLS or obtains a Certification from a provincial society, and is working in the field of medical laboratory science.

Transitional Graduate Membership
Transitional graduate membership is an interim membership between the expiration of a student membership and when the results of the examinations are received by the candidate.Transitional membership is only available to medical laboratory technologists who:
- are current CSMLS Student Members
- are registered for the upcoming exam session
- have a pending offer of employment
