Presented by: The Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science and the Simulation Knowledge Exchange – Research Network.
Purpose: As recommended from the results of the CSMLS Simulation and Clinical Placement Forum (April 2016), continue the dissemination of simulation and clinical placement knowledge through presentations, discussions and networking opportunities. One avenue to continue the conversation is through a national teleconference series focused on the topics and is publically available for participation.
Teleconference Structure: Initial presentations and discussion topics will be chosen by the Simulation Knowledge Exchange – Research Network, a group of representatives from 13 academic programs across Canada. An open call for presentations from CSMLS members will be released mid-December 2016.
- Presentations – Mainly, a one-way communication tool on a particular subject. Leave room for discussion at the end of the presentation. No visual aids will be available.
- Discussion – A two-way communication tool to discuss a particular topic or seek information from programs. Prepare 3-5 questions. No visual aids will be available.
Audience: The teleconference series will be open to all individuals associated with medical laboratory science programs (MLT and MLA) who have an interest in simulation and clinical placement models. All CSMLS members are welcome to join. Additional targeted invited to other stakeholders may occur.
Schedule: Recurring on the 4th Monday each month from 12-1pm EST (revisions may need to occur).
Topics: Check back often and look out for email communications! Information will be released shortly.
